Beverage

back

Be it on a hot sunny day or in an evening with friends, beverages accompany every aspect of our daily lives. Such a large demand requires a beverage industry ready for large production.

Alcoholic Vs Non-alcoholic

With over 1 trillion dollars in revenue for non-alcoholic drinks and over 1.5 trillion dollars for alcoholic drinks in 2019 (Statista.com, 2020), this industry is a juggernaut reaching all of the human demographics.

While Alcoholic drinks are always facing challenges with dealing with regulations, innovation is always present to ensure smaller portions and moderation without hurting revenue.

From brewed drinks like beer and cider, to all types of wine, to hard liquors and spirits, anyone can find something to fit their tastes.

Food Coloring And Sugar Content

Consumer tastes are evolving, and a higher need for safe and healthy beverage alternatives is driving producers to be more conscious of what they put in their drinks.

A large number of countries have introduced a sugar tax to encourage the population to stay away from sugary drinks. Companies are forced to adapt their drinks and their processes to comply with the new landscape.

The same goes for food coloring, as consumers are moving away from heavily colored liquids and preferring naturally colored drinks. Companies have opted to offer a colored bottle instead of a clear one in order to both maintain the brand and meet the demands.

Plastic, Glass, And Metal

Different drinks and different demographics require different containers. This poses challenges on productions that include 2 or 3 types of containers for the same drink. Solution providers have opted to share common machines between lines such as packers and palletizers, and offer a unified end-of-line while having separate process lines for each container.
